SOURCES OF LEARNING AND TECHNOLOGY USED BY THE TEACHERS

The emergence of e-Learning in Thailand continues to move rapidly in the recent years. Today, VRU Demonstration School has provided students with more exposure to the products of technology. This is demonstrated through the initiative of installing televisions and LCD screens in each classroom from the primary up to the secondary level. The classroom are all equipped with materials used in audio-visual learning activities such LCD projector, speakers, CDs, video tapes, laptops, and many more.
Most Learning management system in Thailand educational institutions are using open source tools to develop their e-Learning systems. The popular open source software programs used by the educational institutions are Moodle, ATutor, and Claroline (Classroom Online). Moodle is a free open source course management system which helps educators create effective learning communities. ATutor is an open source Web-Based Learning Content Management System (LCMS) designed with accessibility and adaptability in mind while Claroline is a free application based on PHP/MySQLtechnology.
