As one of the chosen representatives of my university, who proudly carried my country’s name in front of distinguished set of individuals, I deeply extend my heartfelt and warmest gratitude to the makers of the SEAMEO SEA-Teacher Project in giving us the opportunity of a lifetime, to establish and strengthen connection among Southeast Asian countries, and rediscover the vast changing nature of education. I consider myself a living testament of the success of the 7th Batch of this project for I was taken into the other side, facing children having countless dreams, and taking part in the in this strategic initiative of extending educational processes to other country.

This project truly served its purpose of reinventing approaches, methodologies, and strategies that will answer the current and upcoming issues and dilemmas in the world of education. With the varied experiences of the SEA-Teachers, new perspectives are taken into consideration and more doors of opportunities are opened for wider audience. This overwhelming experience helped me discover more about myself and the educational status of my country. It gave me the inspiration to really pursue the profession not just for personal purposes but for the purpose of contributing to the development of the quality of education especially in Southeast Asia. The individuals behind this huge project didn’t fail to provide us the kind of experience that was definitely beyond anybody’s expectations.

The formation of the participants from an ordinary pre-service teacher to a committed, highly-driven, and adaptive SEA-Teacher is huge step towards the production of high quality educators that will keep the essence of the teaching profession and bring the children into the light of achieving excellence in all aspects. Issues circulating the world of teaching have also been given the chance to be discussed and addressed, leading to the identification of temporary to more stable solutions in order to eradicate any hindrance that might exist along the way.

Indeed, this project was truly a success and I hold high hopes that this will continue for the rest of the years, reaching out more countries and institutions not just in Southeast Asia but also beyond. May you be able to find more pre-service teachers who will continue the legacy of the organization for the welfare of the future generation. You have given me the most difficult, yet the most fulfilling challenge in my life.

Again, my words of gratitude and commitment be unto you!
